God is plain in regard to abortion, homosexuality

To the Editor,

I would like to respond to the letter to the editor from Katie Lewis.

I disagree with Katie on the issue of Obama; this is not an issue of Obama or George Bush. People want to blame one or the other. The problem is with both of them and both of the parties; one can’t take the blame.

Now as far as Obama, he does support gay marriage and abortion. He said it with his own mouth that he supports a woman’s right to choose, and he supports men who want to be with men and women who want to be with women.

The only thing I can truly say is this: Go by the word of God. What does it say that so many people want to throw out the phrase, “do not judge.” Well, I ask all these people to do me a favor. I want you to read that entire passage of scripture in context, not out of context, like so many people are doing. God’s word stands for itself.

God say he hates abortion, and homosexuality. It can’t be any more plainer than that, so anybody who supports these issues supports things that are against God and that’s the truth. You either support the things of God or the things of the devil.

We as Christians need to start standing up for God and his word. His true word, not what we want the Bible to say for our own behalf.

We lead the state in churches per capita. We also lead the state in crimes and everything else that is bad. What does this tell us about church?

Must be a lot of people going just to be seen and gossip about what others are wearing......

Shame on you.

God does not "hate." God is about "love." I am bothered by your interpretation of the scriptures with your statement "God say he hates abortion, and homosexuality." The word "hate" and GOD should never be used in the same sentence. Furthermore, such a verse does not exist in the Bible.

God hates sin. If not, then explain the curse upon Adam & Eve (mankind), the flood, and the Great White Throne judgement, just to name a few.

Malachi 2:16 For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away, (divorce) so there you go God and hate in the same sentance and its in the bible look for your self.

Amen! The God of the Bible is not the God of todays cultural Christian. We must get back to the basics of life and bring back the Biblical principles that we are lacking in America. God does hate homsexuality and the murdering of innocent unborn babies! How much more can this country turn it's back on God before His wrath begins, or has His wrath already began on America?!

First of all lets not forget that with the exception of blasphemy, sin is sin. Lying, cheating, stealing, gossiping, not loving one another, abortion, murdering all fall under the same classification SIN. Secondly, God gave people a choice whether or not to sleep with the same sex. Those that did suffered the consequences for their actions. Just as all sinners who don't repent of their sins will do. I am just thankful that we serve a forgiving God. Last, but not least biblical principles began to decline when CHRISTIANS allowed Madeline Ohare to ban prayer in school and other public places. Now, let me ask this question. Is there one who are posting on here that lives without sin? Do you all remember the woman who was caught in the very act of adultery? I wonder what was being written as the brethren began to ridicule her? Maybe their names? Be careful people.
