PEMBROKE — The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Department of Music will present its fifth annual Holiday Extravaganza on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Givens Performing Arts Center.

Tickets to the performance, which benefit music-student scholarships, are available in advance at the GPAC box office. They cost $10 for adults and $5 for children and UNCP students.

The finale, which will feature more than 100 students and encourages audience participation, will include the following ensembles:

— The Early Musik Ensemble, an instrumental ensemble under the direction of Valerie Austin that contains instruments used as long as 600 years ago.

— The UNCP Clarinet Ensemble, which is made up of eight undergraduate clarinetists and is under the direction of Kevin Streich, a regular performer with the North Carolina Symphony.

— The Guitar Ensemble, which is under the direction of Derek Day.

— The Pembroke Singers, a group of vocalists who perform across the region under the direction of Jaeyoon Kim.

— The UNCP Trumpet Ensemble, which is under the direction of Tim Altman.

— The UNCP Flute Ensemble, which is under the direction of Sarah Busman, principal flute of the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra.

— The UNCP Chamber Orchestra, a string ensemble featuring violins, violas, celli and bass under the direction of Megan Kenny.

— The UNCP Vocal Jazz Ensemble, which is under the direction of Tracy Thomas who has experience performing all over the country.

— The UNCP Percussion Group, which is under the direction of Tracy Wiggins.

— The UNCP Saxophone Choir, which is under the direction of Marty Spitzer.

— UNCP Jazz Combo, which is under the direction of Aaron Vandermeer, who oversees the jazz program.

— The University Chorale, a vocal ensemble with more than 60 members.
