LUMBERTON — A weekend robbery ended with a man being shot, according to Lumberton police Chief Mike McNeill.
McNeill said Taurean Brown, 21, of the 600 block of Branch Street, was walking with another person on Branch Street toward Luther Britt Park at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday when a car pulled up with two men inside. The men approached Brown, took his cellphone and an unknown amount of money and shot him once, according to McNeill.
