Richard Ivey

Greensboro

Richard Mark Ivey, 52, of Greensboro, formerly of Fairmont, passed away in Greensboro.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.

He was born Dec. 22, 1960.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy S. Ivey.

He is survived by his father, Wayland Ivey of Fairmont; a sister, Karen Rene’ Hill and husband Robert of Fairmont; and a host of other relatives and friends

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m Wednesday at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to NC Boys and Girls Home of N.C., 400 Flemmington Drive, Lake Waccamaw, N.C., 28450.

Joyce Isabell Prevatte, 83, of Lumberton, passed away Dec. 22, 2012, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Prevatte Cemetery on Carthage Road, the Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.

She was born in Robeson County on Dec. 4, 1929.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Walter Prevatte and Annie Foy Prevatte; her daughter, Durema Andrews; two sisters; and a brother.

She is survived by her son, James B. Prevatte of Lumberton.

A time of visitation will follow the service at the gravesite.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to: Clybornville Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1637, Lumberton, N.C., 28359.

Mary “Irene” Inman Puryear, 83 of 2304 Edmond Matthis Road, died Dec. 23, 2012, in Hospice of Wake County in Raleigh.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ingold Baptist Church, the Rev. Danny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Osborne of Clinton and Etta Maynard of Raleigh; two sons, Tommy Puryear and Chris Puryear, both of Clinton; and a granddaughter

The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Royal-Hall Funeral Home, and other times at her home.
