Rodney Cummings
GOLDSBORO — Rodney “Skippy” Cummings, 66, a resident of O’Berry Center, was born Dec. 6, 1946, and departed this life on Jan. 7, 2013.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Harpers Ferry Baptist Church, the Revs. Donald Bullard, Rodney Bullard and Michael Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Elinora Cummings.
Cummings is survived by his brother, Grady Cummings Jr. of Fayetteville; three sisters, Susan Cummings and Felicia Cummings, both of Pembroke, and Virginia Sanderson and husband James of Columbia, S.C.; a niece, Amy Lynn Sanderson; a nephew, Brad Sanderson and wife Cherie of Columbia, S.C.; a great-nephew, Campbell James Sanderson of Columbia, S.C.; and a host of relatives and friends who will cherish precious memories of Skip.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3p.m. Thursday at Harpers Ferry Baptist Church.
