LUMBERTON — James Walter “Toby” Britt, 74, of Lumberton, passed away on Jan. 19, 2013, at his residence.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, the Revs. Jerry Lowery and Billy Watford officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.

He was born in Robeson County on Nov. 1, 1938, to the late Clarence Britt and the late Golder Floyd Britt.

Britt is survived by his wife, Dorothy Meares Britt (“Dot”) of the home; five sons, James E. Britt (Rebecca) of Augusta, Ga., Curtis Jeffery Britt (Debbie) of Rowland, Charles Billy Britt (Jackie) of Lumberton, Michael C. Britt (Carolyn Miller) of Fairmont, and Patrick Britt of the home; two daughters, Patricia A. Britt (Janet Bieda) of Lumberton and Pamela J. Britt, of the home; two sisters, Gladys Berry of Ocean Isle Beach, and Brenda Cray Craft of Lumberton; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St., Lumberton.
