James Blake

LUMBERTON — James David Blake, 79, of Lumberton, died Jan. 22, 2013, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pres. John Ricks officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

He was born Nov. 19, 1933, in Lumberton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Blake; his mother, Pearl Prevatte Blake; a daughter, Lorelei; and a son, John.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marlene; a son, David and his wife Claudia; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Atkinson; and two brothers-in-law, Leslie Braker and his wife Rita and Gene Tew and his wife Gayle.

His viewing will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 450 Liberty Hill Drive.
