FAYETTEVILLE — New Century Bank has named Trina Stokes as vice president and retail manager for the Raeford Road office in Fayetteville.
“Trina has served banking customers for over 13 years and has 11 years of experience in bank retail management, giving her a rich background from which to draw as she leads the implementation of our retail sales strategy,” said William L. Hedgepath II, president and chief executive officer of New Century Bank.
Before joining New Century, Stokes served as vice president and commercial lender at Pisgah Community Bank in Asheville.

PEMBROKE — The Robeson County Committee of 100 will hold its annual dinner meeting on Feb. 21, at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Regional Center in COMtech Park. A social will be held at 6:30 p.m., with the dinner and program beginning at 7 p.m.
The guest speaker will be Billy Ray Hall, president of the N.C. Rural Economic Development Center. Registration for the event is $25.

MAXTON — The U.S Department of Agriculture and the Farm Service Agency of North Carolina is holding a meeting on Monday during which USDA programs will be discussed, and Hispanic and women farmers and ranchers who believe they suffered from discrimination will learn of a claims process.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall of Prospect United Methodist Church at 3929 Missouri Road in Maxton.
Hispanic and women farmers and ranchers who farmed or attempted to farm between 1981 and 2000 and who allege discrimination when seeking USDA farm loans are encouraged to attend. The claims period will close on March 25.
