Ruth Cox
LUMBERTON — Ruth Pittman Cox, 96, of Broadridge Road, died Feb. 7, 2013, at McLeod Hospital in Dillon, S.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Revels Funeral Home Chapel in Lumberton, the Revs. Tom Britt and George Connor officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
Cox was born in Robeson County on Dec. 5, 1916, a daughter of the late Rhodes and Laura Wilcox Pittman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Cox; a daughter, Lois Britt Floyd; and several siblings.
She is survived by a daughter, Louise Cox Britt and husband Fred C. Britt of Lumberton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton.
