I find it very difficult to believe that Shawn no longer lives on this earth. It is my belief that he is with God and now has the opportunity to watch over all those who loved him and whom he loved. Gail - you were is the pulse that kept his heart beating; the air that filled his lungs. Always know that he would have given you the world if it was his to give. Dasia & Kiana, your father was very proud of you! He bragged about how smart you young ladies are and how he know you two would grow up to like your mother, a determine world with a purpose. Shawn spoke often of his family, his mother - he wanted to carry her pain and free her from discouragement; his father - he want to live up the the standard you set that defined being a "man." He was very happy to have to the two of you as his parents. His brothers were his sheep, his army, his best friends, he was so happy when you all were happy. He shared your pain and he celebrated your successes. And his sister Kim, he was proud to have a sister in his life, you were one of the most significant women in his world. Shawn also talked about his mother-in-law, he shared many times that she did not take any mess and that she showed him tough love but regardless, he knew she loved him. Shawn will be missed greatly by many who lives he touched. He will be remembered for the great"stories" he shared. His positive outlook on life and his belief that "things will get better," was contagious. God never makes mistakes regardless how painful it feels. Gone to soon for those of us who did not value his presence. And those who accepted him unconditionally...he left this earth when God said so. Always, Hodge
