PEMBROKE — Audella Jacobs, 93, of 103 Barker St., Pembroke, went home to her Heavenly Father on Feb. 16, 2013.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lumbee Memorial Gardens in Lumberton.

Audella was preceded in death by five of her 10 children, Sandra Backus, Robert (Butch) Nichols, Donna Lanum, Joanna Woods and Carl Nichols.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bill D. Jacobs of the home; two daughters, Deborah Nichols of Pembroke, Norma White of West Virginia; three sons, Timothy Nichols of Ocean Isle, Rodney (Renee’) Nichols of Laurinburg, and Michael Villiers of Pembroke; two granddaughters of the home, Christine D. Villiers and Bridget N. Villers; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.

Audella worked many years in the food service business, including eight years for Sim Oxendine, and she ran the Chicken Hut for three years. She was a faithful child of God, a loving person to family, friends and strangers. She never had an unkind word for anyone. She will be deeply missed but is now at home with her Lord living her peaceful eternity until we join her.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Revels Funeral Home in Pembroke.

We love you mamaw and you will be truly missed. I will never forget the many times I would walk in and give you a kiss and you would say, "Oh, you kissed my dirty oh cheek." I almost looked forward to you saying that. I hope you and mama are catching up right now.
