Ray Britt

LUMBERTON — Ray Britt, 61, passed away Feb. 20, 2013, peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends after battling cancer.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Marsh Spencer and Lewis Britt officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery.

Britt was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Britt and Ruby Watts Britt.

He is survived two sisters, Viola Britt of the home and Faye Britt of Lumberton; two brothers, Jimmy Britt of the home and James Britt of Lumberton; three sister-in-laws of Lumberton; his fiancée, Darlene Spaulding; a very special friend, Barney Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Biggs Funeral Home, and at other times at the home.

The family would like to thank Gibson Cancer Treatment Center for all their kindness and care provided to Ray.
