LUMBERTON — Marcia Carter English, 42, passed away Feb. 25, 2013, at her residence.

The funeral will be 7 p.m. today at Mount Elim Baptist Church of Orrum, the Rev. James Graham officiating. Burial will be private.

She was born on July 1, 1970, in Robeson County to Ertle Max Carter and Christine Walters Gaddy. She was employed as a charge nurse at Wesley Pines Retirement Community in Lumberton. She also worked with Hospice in our community for eight years.

Marcia is survived by her father and stepmother, Ertle and Dovie Carter of Lumberton; her mother and stepfather, Christine and Bob Gaddy of Lumberton; her fiancé, Mark Halliburton of Lumberton; two sons, Christopher Fowler of Fayetteville, and Tyler English of the home; a daughter, Savanna Fowler of the home; a sister, Terri Collins and husband Kenny of Lumberton; a niece, Maranda Collins of Lumberton; and a nephew, Ken Collins of Fayetteville.

A time of visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. today before the service at Mount Elim Baptist Church.

The family will accept flowers, or if you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice of Lumberton, 2402 N. Roberts Ave., Lumberton, N.C., 28358.
