McNeil led the Lady Pirates (18-7) in scoring and rebounding this season and is a two-time all-county selection. Lumberton finished second Scotland in the race for an SEC title and for that, Lady Scots coach David Johnson shared Coach of the Year accolades.
Joining McNeil on the all-conference first team were teammates Aliyah Ratley and Azaya Graham. Colleen Chavis from Purnell Swett was the Lady Rams’ lone selection.
On the boys side, Hoke County swept individual honors for a second consecutive year as Tarique Thompson and Quame Patterson received top player and coach nods. Thompson led the SEC in points, rebounds and blocked shots.
Patterson has directed the Bucks to 51 wins and a pair of conference regular-season and tournament titles over the last two seasons.
Locally, Lumberton’s Montrae Strother and Demetri Sheridan were picked as all-conference players. Purnell Swett’s James Chavis, a 2011 selection along with Juwan Jones, also made the team.
