Waltz Locklear
PEMBROKE — Mr. Waltz “Bo” Locklear, 78, of Pembroke, was born July 18, 1934 and departed this life on March 9, 2013 at his home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at Deep Branch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James A. Hunt and the Rev. Gary Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Locklear.
He attended Deep Branch Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Locklear is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Locklear of the home; three sons, James Locklear, Walt Locklear both of Pembroke and Jeffery Locklear of Lumberton; four daughters, Debbie Locklear, Sabrina Dew, Angela Chavis all of Pembroke and Sonya Hunt of Lumberton. Locklear was honored to have been “Granddaddy” to 6 grandsons and 12 granddaughters and “Great Granddaddy” to two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. He is also survived by four sisters — his twin, Omie Jane Locklear, Goldie Mae Cox, Mary Chavis and Desser Mae Carter and a host of relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mary Estelle Tidwell Worley, 66, of Camden — formerly of Lumberton, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at East Lumberton Baptist Church. The Rev. Mary Worley died March 9, 2013. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Ruth Merritt Tidwell. Worley was formerly employed with the Robeson County Schools in Lumberton and a member of East Lumberton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Roger Dale Worley; two daughters, Ann Worley Howell (Bill) of Salisbury and Heather Valentine (Daniel) of Savannah; grandchildren, James Robert Howell and Elizabeth Rene Howell; a brother, Donald Tidwell (Karen) of Rapid City S.D.; and a sister, Wanda Lyles (Jackie) of Camden.
