Teen faces drug, weapons charges

RED SPRINGS — A Red Springs teenager is being held in the Robeson County jail on felony drug and weapons charges, according to police Detective Tommy Wright.

Aaron Locklear, 18, of 28 Middle St., is charged with trafficking in cocaine; trafficking in prescription medication; felony possession of cocaine; possession with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver marijuana; possession of a stolen firearm; and possession will intent to sell, manufacture or deliver cocaine, according to Wright.

Wright said Locklear was arrested following a vehicle stop on Richardson Street on Friday and placed under at $15,000 bond.

Wright said Locklear’s arrest was the “result of an ongoing investigation.”
