To the Editor,
On the same day Gov. Pat McCrory signed a bill that blocked Medicaid expansion and allowed for the possum drop to occur on New Year’s Eve. Previously, he signed a bill that reduced the amounts received and the length of duration for unemployment benefits.
So let us tally up the figures: 70,000 people adversely affected by unemployment reductions; 500,000 adversely affected by having no health insurance; and a couple hundred New Year’s revelers having a reason to celebrate that could not possibly have been done any other way — cue the pickle drop in Mt. Olive.
So we have 670,000 negatively impacted and maybe a thousand positively. Wait, let us adjust that figure to 570,001 as I do not believe the possum is all that enthralled but then again, he does not have an ID to vote so who cares?
If this is fun, please let me know when it started.

Yep, nothing makes a taxpayer happier than seeing self reliance spread around. It's wonderful.
We've had over a hundred years of democrats running NC and look at the mess we got. It's time for you to watch the adults take over and hold grown people responsible for their own life....
