Mayola Jones

LUMBERTON — Mayola Brewer “Booke” Jones, 83, of Lumberton, passed away March 18, 2013, at Southeastern Health in Lumberton.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

She was born in Robeson County on May 25, 1929, to the late Cleveland Brewer and the late Attie Bullard Brewer.

She is survived by her children, Ola Jones of Lumberton, Elmer Hunt of Lumberton, Jerry Hunt of Wilmington, Amveline Locklear of Hope Mills, Harlan Dean Hunt of Eastover, Antonio Hunt of Fairmont, Chris Jones of Lumberton, Stevie Jones of Red Springs, Kimberly Jones of Red Springs and George Jones of Lumberton; three sisters, Geraldine Locklear of Pembroke, Martha Hunt of Lumberton, and Gertrude Sherwood of Maryland; 33 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St., Lumberton.
