Jean Mason, 78, of St. Pauls died, Sept. 6, 2012, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church in St. Pauls, Pastor David Hodge officiating. Burial will follow at Stedman Church of God Prophecy Church Cemetery in Stedman.
She is survived by her husband, Dwight Mason; two sons, Bruce A. Nunnery and Joseph R. Nunnery; two daughters, Carolyn J. Lewis and Glenda J. Daugherty; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Saint Pauls Funeral Home.
Elizabeth Queen Moore
Elizabeth Queen Moore, 79, of Gibson, died Sept. 4, 2012, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Grove Church in Gibson, with a burial and dove ceremony to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery in Gibson.
She is survived by five sons, the Rev. James Willie Moore of Hamlet, Jimmy Moore of Washington, D.C., Elvis Moore of Bennetsville, S.C., the Rev. Eugene Moore of Laurinburg and the Rev. Kenny Moore of Laurinburg; two daughters, Angela Moore and Hattie Moore, both of Gibson; four brothers, Ronnie Mackie, Samuel Mackie and Lee Mackie, all of Laurinburg, and Charlie Mackie of Freeport, N.Y.; and three sisters, Eula Mae Steele of Highpoint, Louise Evangelist of Charlotte and Maggie Bullock of Philadelphia.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Laurinburg.
Charles Ray Taylor
Charles Ray “Heavy” Taylor, 58, of 50 Seal St., died Sept. 5, 2012, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Revels Funeral Home Chapel in Lumberton, officiated by the Revs. Marvin Hunt and Charlie Oxendine. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Baptist Church cemetery in Fairmont.
He is survived by a son, Charles Ray Taylor Jr. of Morehead City; a daughter, Patricia A. Taylor of Fayetteville; three brothers, Bobby Taylor of Lumberton, Lacy Taylor of Red Springs and Jimmy Taylor of New Mexico; a sister, Myrtle Taylor of New Mexico; and six grandchildren.
