Virginia Sammons, 98, of 701 E. 11th St., died Oct. 4, 2012, at Southeastern Hospice House.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Bethany Presbyterian Church, Dr. Albert Sinclair officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Church Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Julia S. Clay of Fayetteville and Linder Sammons of Lumberton; a brother, Woodrow Williams of Whiteville; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home & Cremations.
