Annie Ruth Wassil, 72, of 998 W. Parkton Tobermory Road., departed this life on Dec. 11, 2012, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Revels Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Timmy Hunt and Bishop Kenny Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Lumbee Memorial Gardens.

She was born on Oct. 26, 1940, in Robeson County to the late Maggie Campbell and Sam Hunt.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Henry Lee Hunt, R.D. Hunt, Jimmy Ray Hunt, John (Pistol) Hunt, Aggie Nora Hunt and Eldis (Ned) Hunt.

She is survived by her brothers, Wilbert Hunt of the home, Larry Hunt of Morehead City, Johnny Hunt of St. Pauls and Samuel Hunt of Baltimore; her sisters, Helen Campbell of Rowland, Betty Lou Hyatt of Lumberton, Martha Jane Karopchinsky of Baltimore and Rose Mary Hunt of Hope Mills; her children, Lawrence Wade Hardin of Rowland, Myrtle Marlowe of Moncks Corner, S.C., Loria Simmons of Lumberton, Kathy Sweat of Rowland, Theresa Barnhill-Woolf of Lumberton and Tanisha Wassil of the home; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton.
