Fred Howell Sr., 96, of Lumberton, died Dec. 12, 2012, at the Laurel’s Nursing Center in Raleigh.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Sandy Grove Baptist Church, the Rev. T.S. Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Branch Cemetery in Proctorville.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula Howell Spence of Raleigh; a son, Fred Howell Jr. of Raleigh; and several grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McMillan Funeral Home in Lumberton, and noon Monday at the church.
