Mary Russell
TROY — Mary Louise Russell, 64, of Troy, died Dec. 29, 2012, at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation in Biscoe.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Love Joy United Methodist Church on Substation Road in Troy, Tony Sedberry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mary Lou was born March 1, 1948, in Troy. She was the daughter of Barna Harrison and Mary Strider Russell. She was formerly employed with Capel Inc., and she was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Russell and Charles Russell.
She is survived by her brother, Roger Russell and wife Audrey of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Emily Howell and husband Harold of Lumberton, and Martha Griego of Troy; a brother, Frank Russell and wife Debbie of Troy; two sisters in-law, Betty Russell of Hampton, Va., and Tracy Russell of Morganton; seven nieces; seven nephews; five great-nieces; and seven great-nephews.
Whether she was called Moo-Moo or Moosie, she was truly loved by us all.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. in Troy, and other times at the home.
