Robert Britt Jr.
LUMBERTON — Robert Calvin Britt Jr., 66, of Lumberton, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 5, 2013, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
The funeral was held Tuesday at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, the Revs. Randall Sneed and Tom Britt officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
He was born to the late Robert Calvin Britt (“Pete”) and Velma Britt Smith on Dec. 22, 1946. He worked in the textile industry for about 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clemateen Britt (“Tina”) of 26 years; two brothers, I.D. Britt and Horace Britt; two sisters, Dorothy Anderson and Lucille McLamb, and a stepson, Tony White.
Surviving are his children, Sherry Vega, Robbie Britt, Vickie Britt, Timmy and wife Kesha Britt, Sabrina and husband Frankie Willis, all of Lumberton; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Deese and Teresa Dean; two stepsons, Ronnie Haynes and George Haynes, both of Raeford; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
