Marie Smith
MAXTON — Marie Harris Smith, 54, of Maxton, passed away Feb. 12, 2013.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Union Light Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Harris family cemetery in Maxton.
Marie was the loving daughter of the late Frank Harris and Lucille Brayboy Harris Anderson, born Sept. 24, 1958. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for others. She was a devoted homemaker and a private-duty caregiver. She served as a faithful member of the Youth for Christ Holiness Church. Marie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Paula Harris and a nephew, Lance Harris.
Marie leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Archie Smith of the home; her sons, Daniel Keith Smith and special friend Heather of Maxton, Gabriel Smith and wife Kayla of Maxton, Jason Lowery and wife Kayla of Red Springs; four brothers, Mitchell Harris of Maxton, Richard Harris of Virginia, Douglas Harris and wife Pam of Maxton, Frank Harris Jr. and wife April of McColl, S.C.; two sisters, Clementine Brayboy and Doris Jacobs, both of Maxton; four grandchildren, Danylon Smith, Mariyah Smith, Jaylon Lowery, Katlon Lowery; her nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Union Light Baptist Church in Maxton.
Services entrusted to Richard Boles Funeral Service in Laurinburg.
