Phyllis Locklear
MAXTON — Phyllis Blanche Locklear, 67, of 280 JI Road, was born Aug. 2, 1945, in Robeson County, to the late Joe and Edna Locklear, and departed this life on Feb. 23, 2013, at 4523 Prospect Road in Maxton.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Dr. Kenneth Locklear, Bill James Locklear, and Carolyn Cummings Woriax officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear family cemetery.
In addition to her parents, Locklear was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Locklear, and a daughter, Karen Locklear.
Locklear left to cherish her memories, a son, Calvin Locklear and wife Jennie, both of Garner; a daughter, Kelly Locklear, and companion Charles Paul Bullard, of Maxton; two brothers, Phillip Locklear and Kenneth Locklear, both of Maxton; a sister, Grace Locklear of Maxton; three grandchildren, James B. Locklear IV, Lydia Locklear and Hayden Locklear; and a community of other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel.
