Minnie Lowery
LUMBERTON — Minnie Catherine Lowery, 87, of Lumberton, went to be with her Lord March 21, 2013, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Cornerstone Free Will Church in Lumberton, Pastors Grady Hunt, Billy Burns and Bobby Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Lumbee Memorial Gardens in Lumberton.
She was born in Robeson County on Nov 5, 1925.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Britton Lowery and her children, James Stanford Locklear, Sheila Locklear and Linda Lewis.
Lowery is survived by her son, David Lowery (Sheila) of Lumberton; two daughters, Patty Lowery Jones (Charles) of Lumberton and Katherine Jacobs (Donnie Ray) of Rennert; a brother, Donald Locklear of Rennert; a sister, Annie Neal Locklear of Fairmont; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St., Lumberton.
