ST. PAULS — All three Robeson County wrestling programs competed at the St. Pauls-hosted Bulldog Brawl on Saturday.

In total 20 county wrestlers placed in their weight classes. As a team, Lumberton finished second in the event behind New Bern. St. Pauls came in 10th, while Purnell Swett finished 12th.

Lumberton had four wrestlers claim championships at the tournament. Davieyon King-McAllister won at 160 pounds, Darionte McLaurin at 170 pounds, Alex Hammonds at 220 pounds and Tray Regan at 285 pounds.

Also placing for the Pirates were, Antonio Hammonds in fourth at 152 pounds, Kenson Sinclair in fifth at 145 pounds, Austin Lowery in fourth at 138 pounds, Sabri Saleh in third at 126 pounds and Justin Kelly in fourth at 113 pounds.

St. Pauls was led by a second-place finish from El Shaddai Edwards at 160 pounds. Jonathan Salvetti took fourth at 285 pounds, Corban Winkle finished fifth in 152 pounds, Angel Hernandez took sixth at 195 pounds, Damien Ortiz finished sixth at 120 pounds and Brianna Gray claimed sixth at 106 pounds to round up action for the rest of the Bulldogs.

Purnell Swett sent all four wrestlers to the podium, headed by a third-place finish from Caden Scott at 120 pounds. Antonio Prince finished third at 170 pounds, Carter Oxendine took sixth at 160 pounds and Timothy Kamalu claimed sixth at 285 pounds.
