PEMBROKE Purnell Swett High’s sixth annual Grid Iron Club golf tournament will be held on Saturday at Pinecrest Country Club with a 2 p.m. shotgun start. All proceeds from the three-man team captain’s choice format will benefit football at the recreation, middle school and high school level in west Robeson County. Lunch is included with the $55 player fees and will be served 90 minutes before start.
“We’ve received a lot of hole sponsorships, but very little three-man teams,” Swett football coach Mark Heil said Monday. “I guess it’s a little tricky for some people since it’s Masters weekend.”
