Susan Nicole Carter, formerly of Shannon, and Nickalus Judston Hunt, formerly of Lumberton, were married Nov. 17, 2007, at the Porter Plaza in Pembroke. The Rev. Donald Bullard officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Anthony and Velma Carter of Shannon and the granddaughter of Myrtle Lowery and the late Hubert Hoover Lowery and the late Lucy Jane and Nash Pete Carter. She attended Carter Academy and Robeson Community College. She presently attends The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and works for Crossroads Associates.
The groom is the son of Davis and Judy Hunt of Lumberton and the grandson of Judston Buddy Locklear and the late Lenora Locklear and the late Sudie and Lila Mae Hunt. He attended Lumberton High School and works for National Freight Handlers.
The exclusive matron of honor was Angela Caldwell. The matrons of honor were Tonya Woods and Bobbie Lowery. The maid of honor was Tara Carter and bridesmaids were Brooke Lowery, Krystal Hunt, Victoria L. Carter, Erical Carter, Victoria S. Carter, Macailah Caldwell, Seressa Carter and Haleigh Godwin.
The best man was Davis Hunt and groomsmen were Darwin Brooks, Beany Lowery, Brandon Hammonds, Robert Hunt, Anthony Michael Carter, Anthony Dwayne Carter, Tony Mark Carter, Eric Carter, Eric E.J. Carter Jr., Chase Carter and Hunter Singh.
The flower girls were Amia Carter and Toree Carter. The ring bearer was Ian Carter. The junior bride and groom were Aleeyah Caldwell and Christian Carter. The miniature bride and groom were Tamiah Woods and Jalen Caldwell.
Pierre Locklear and Charly Lowry provided the music.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by grooms parents at Hoke County Church of God. The brides parents hosted a reception at the Porter Plaza.
Following a honeymoon cruise to Grand Cayman, Mexico and Key West, Fla., the couple resides the Pembroke area.
