Gunmen rob Papa John’s

LUMBERTON — The Lumberton Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Papa John’s Pizza on Saturday.

Capt. Terry Parker of the Lumberton Police Department said the robbery happened when two men armed with handguns entered the business at 4360 Fayetteville Road at 9:18 p.m. and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

According to a police report, one of the men was wearing a gray hoodie, was about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed about 120 pounds. The other person involved was about 6 feet tall, weighing about 120 lbs and was wearing a green hoodie. Both men, who were black, had “some type of home-made mask” concealing their faces. The men escaped on foot, he said.
