LUMBERTON — All eyes are looking ahead for Aug. 17 when the North Carolina High School Athletic Association will announce the new start date for the fall sports season after the governing body announced on Thursday it was pushing back the start of the fall season from Sept. 1.
PEMBROKE — On the heels of fall sports being pushed to an Oct. 1 start for competition, the annual Cash Bash has been postponed as well. The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s annual athletics fundraising event has been rescheduled for Oct. 13-17, and is still set to be presented virtually for the first time.
LUMBERTON — Alternative Baseball, an organization aimed at giving baseball opportunities for those with autism and other special needs, is looking to branch out locally with a program for the Robeson County area.
