Kellie Nicole Nye and Jared Kyle Britt exchanged wedding vows on April 8 during an afternoon ceremony at Cape Fear Botanical Gardens in Fayetteville. Dr. Lynn Bullock officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Woodie Lynn Huggins Nye and Jeffrey Arnold and Bonnie Nye, all of Lumberton.
The groom is the son of Robert and Vickie Britt of Lumberton.
The bride is the granddaughter of Charles Woody Huggins and the late Mary Frances Huggins; the late Lenwood Nye and the late Magalene Hardin.
She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is a student at Liberty University in Lynchburg Va., where she is pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing Administration.
She is employed as a critical care travel nurse for Travel Nurse Across America of North Little Rock, Ark.
The groom is the grandson of Nellie McLellan and the late William Stacy McLellan; and Virgil C. Britt Jr. and the late Betty Knox Britt.
He is a graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He is employed by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety in Fayetteville.
Kelsey Fann served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Corey Williams, Olivia Hawley, Stefanie Powers, Amber Nye, Lauren Britt, and Amanda Andrews.
Robert “Robin” Britt served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Blaine Browning, Brad Browning, Jeet Brahmbhatt, Jeffrey Nye, John O’Daniel, and Tate Fann.
Lexi Stone and Savannah Lane were flower girls; Teddy Hester and Tanner Jackson were the ring bearers.
The couple honeymooned at Sandals South Coast resort in Jamaica.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Pinecrest Country Club in Lumberton. The wedding reception was held at Cape Fear Botanical Gardens.
Bridal showers were hosted in Lumberton by Vanessa Singletary, Wanda Hester, Brenda Smith, Cyndy Andrews, Christle Hicks Baxley, Sylvia Hicks Parker, Staci Wilson and Amanda Andrews.
