LUMBERTON — Adelio’s will be the site of a costume party on Halloween night that will serve as a kickoff of the premiere of producer Chuck Williams’ newest faith-based film, “Amazed by You.”

The party will run from 9 p.m. to midnight. Admission is free. A $100 prize will be granted to the winner of the costume contest, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet Williams. Appetizers and drinks will be available for purchase.

Williams will present “Amazed By You” on Friday with a red carpet premiere at Robeson Community College’s main theater. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the film begins at 7 p.m. Seven hundred seats will be free to the public, but VIP tickets are available for $26 per couple, with seating up front.

Tickets are available at www.gofundme.com/thefaithclub.

The film is about a “city slicker,” Christian Andrews, and how he’s thrown into a cowboy world filled with five sisters, two bullies, a whole lot of cattle, one grungy dog, a woman who runs it all, and how his faith guides him.

Lumberton’s Sarah Beth Short stars in the movie opposite Aaron Mees. Mees will be at the premiere as will be Richard Pryor Jr., son of the late comedian and actor Richard Pryor.

Williams chose to do a premiere in Lumberton because he considers it a “second home.” He said that with everything that happened with Hurricane Matthew last year, he wanted to help bring back some joy to the Lumberton and draw back attention to the relief still needed in Lumberton.

“I know that Lumberton is still in recovery. I don’t want people to forget about Lumberton,” Williams said.

His first film, “Shake Off the World” was filmed in Lumberton and featured a cast of local residents.

“Shake Off the World” revolves around a high school football player who is forced to overcome a crisis of faith. It’s the first of 10 Christian movies Williams plans to create with his California production company, Avondale Pictures. The film premiered Nov. 13, 2015, at the Carolina Civic Center.
