FAIRMONT — The town will serve as host to a variety of Christmas fun at the 10th annual Holiday on Main event Dec. 1.

The night will begin with a Christmas tree lighting and singing in Fairmont Community Park at 6 p.m., followed at 6:30 p.m. by the “twilight parade” with all wheeled units covered in lights to brighten up the streets.

At 7:30 p.m., the indoor portion begins with singing from soloists, Lauren Miller and Anna Grace Hunt-Junio, Miss Lumbee; Cape Fear Baptist Church and First Baptist Church South Main Drama Teams; and Rosenwald and Long Branch School choruses.

The hour long event inside the Heritage Center also will feature holiday face painting, a visit from Santa and hot chocolate. For more information on the indoor portion of the event contact Fairmont Town Commissioner Charles Kemp at 910-740-0277.
