Planetarium brings Mars to Earth on Jan. 20

LUMBERTON — The Robeson Planetarium is all about Mars on Jan. 20.

Free public shows are scheduled for 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the inflatable version of the planetarium. The program features the 14th anniversary of the Opportunity missions’ landing on Mars. A guest speaker from the Jet Propulsion Lab, which designed and managed this mission, will be present via Skype.

Call 910-735-2147 and leave a voicemail stating your name, number in your party, and which program time you want to attend. Seating is limited to 23 per showing. Reservations must be made in advance in order to reserve seating.

The planetarium is located in downtown Lumberton at the Robeson County Partnership for Children, which is located at 210 E. Second St.
