Sorority event: Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. will hold its 28th annual Community Pearls event to celebrate finer womanhood at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 504 W. Second St. in Lumberton. All are invited.

Robotics competition: The 2018 FIRST Power Up Game robotics competition will be held at the Jones Health and Physical Education Center on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The competition will be from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 17 and from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 18.

Wizard of Oz: “Wizard of Oz: The Musical” will play at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Givens Performing Art Center at 7:30 p.m.

Camp expo: A Summer Camp Expo will be held at Biggs Park Mall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Biggs Park Mall is located at 2800 N. Elm St. in Lumberton.

Pembroke Crusin’: The Crusin’ Pembroke Street Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Main Street in Pembroke.

Talent Show: The Carolina Civic Center’s “My Time to Shine” talent show will be held at 7 p.m. Call 910-738-4339 for ticket information.

Democratic convention: The Robeson County Democratic Party will hold its annual convention at the Robeson County Courthouse. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the meeting starts at 10 a.m.

Chicken dinner: The Fairmont Woman’s Club will hold a grilled chicken dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Fairmont Masonic Lodge. Plates are $7.

Egg Hunt: The eighth annual Egg Hunt will be held at Jones Lake State Park, 4117 N.C. 242 North in Elizabethtown, starting at 11 a.m. Concessions and games will be available. Pre-register by calling the visitor center at 910-588-4550.

Horse Auction: Southeastern North Carolina Agricultural Events Center, located at 1027 U.S. 74 E. in Lumberton, will hold a horse and tack auction from 3 to 11 p.m.

Artist on Elm: The Robeson County Arts Council and the City of Lumberton Downtown Development Office will hold the Artist on Elm from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Elm Street in Lumberton. Original art, pottery, woodwork, jewelry, crafts and music will be available.
