LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Arts Council will accept applications for North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts Program subgrants through June 18.

Applications are available for nonprofits whose purpose is to promote and develop diverse cultural arts programming in Robeson County. Application forms and grant guidelines are available on the North Carolina Arts Council website at www.ncarts.org.

Funding priority is given to qualified arts organizations, arts in education programs conducted by qualified arts organizations, and other community organizations that provide arts programs in the county. Projects must occur between July 1 and June 30, 2019.

Grassroots funds are not generally awarded to arts organizations that receive funding through the North Carolina Arts Council’s State Arts Resources.

The Robeson County Arts Council will hold a workshop to assist interested applicants in preparing competitive grants on June 11 at 7 p.m. at Inner Peace Center for the Arts, 700 Roberts Ave., Lumberton. The meeting will begin promptly on the hour and should last no longer than an hour. Past applicants are encouraged to attend to learn more about changes to the application process.
