WILMINGTON — The Opera House Theatre Company has scheduled has one more showing of “Violet” for Sunday.
The musical is about a woman named Violet Karl who was disfigured in a childhood accident. She is determined to alter her life through faith healing, and leaves her hometown in Spruce, N.C., to go Tulsa, Ga., in search of an evangelist she believes will heal her. Instead she learns it’s the journey that helps her discover who she is.
The musical is based on the novel “The Ugliest Pilgrim,” written by Statesville native Doris Betts.
The matinee show will run at 3 p.m. The performance will be on the Main Stage of Thalian Hall, located at 310 Chestnut St. in Wilmington.
