Baxley – Russell

Gena Baxley, of Lumberton, and Jonathan Russell, of Cameron, were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. May 7 on the property of Gene and Pam Russell. The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Darryl Russell.

The bride is the daughter of Gene Baxley of Lumberton, and of Annette Davis Baxley of Lumberton. She is the granddaughter of Betty Davis and the late Silas Davis, along with Linda Baxley and the late Authur Baxley.

She attended Lumberton High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College, and works for Atrium Moore County Dental.

The groom is the son of Gene and Pam Russell. He is the grandson of Robert and Alice Oakley, the late Howard Russell Sr. and Charles and Judy Cameron. He attended Union Pines High School and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and works for a private contractor.

The maids of honor were Miranda Oliver and Hannah Nicholson. Bridesmaids were Sara Bibey and Maegan Lea.

The best man was Gene Russell. Groomsmen were John Faulkner, James Ragsdale and Cameron Barber.

The flower girl was Ava Oliver. Musicians were Josh Bryant and Keith Ross.

The wedding was directed by Sherry Floyd and Jennifer Sellers.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Beefeaters by Gene and Pam Russell. The reception was held on the property of Gene and Pam Russell.

A shower was hosted at the fellowship hall of Zion Hill Baptist Church by friends and family and another at the Buggy Town Coffee Shop by Pam Russell, Maegan Lea and Sara Bibey.

The couple spent their honeymoon in the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands.
