LUMBERTON — Southeastern Wound Healing Center has received two awards for excellence.

The center, an affiliate of Southeastern Health, has been honored with the 2017 Center of Distinction Award and the 2017 Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence award, which were given to the center by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.

Dr. Moo Young directs the center, and Kathy Hansen manages it.

“I’m proud of Dr. Moo Young, Kathy, and the entire staff at Southeastern Wound Healing Center,” said Jason Cox, Southeastern Health vice president and Southeastern Regional Medical Center’s chief operating officer. “This award is further proof they’re committed to providing quality healthcare in a safe, compassionate, and efficient environment.”

To be eligible for the Center of Distinction Award, the center, located on West 27th Street in Lumberton, achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal. Maintaining this level of clinical excellence for two consecutive years qualified the center for the Excellence Award.
