LUMBERTON — An interventional cardiologist has joined the ranks of Southeastern Health’s caregivers.

Dr. William Herzog, a Duke Health physician, has joined Southeastern Cardiology and Cardiovascular Clinic and Southeastern Health Heart and Vascular.

Herzog received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with biological specialization from Duke University in 1978. He completed a medical degree in 1982 and an internal medicine residency in 1987, both from Duke University. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease in 1989 and in interventional cardiology in 1990, both from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Herzog is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He also is certified by the board of nuclear cardiology.

Before joining Southeastern Health, Herzog worked with Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians in Columbia, Md.
