Red Springs gets medicine drop box

-

The Robeson Substance Use Coalition recently placed a permanent medicine drop box at the Red Springs Police Department. Drop boxes reduce diversion and flow of illicit drugs by allowing people to have a safe place to properly dispose of unused medicines, both prescription and non-prescription. Pictured, from left, are Red Springs Mayor Edward Henderson; Whitney McFarland, of the Robeson County Health Department; Red Springs Police Chief Ronnie Patterson; Latasha Murray, of Robeson Health Care Corporation; and Southeastern Health Director of Community Health Services Lekisha Hammonds.
