New pediatric clinic set

to open in Red Springs

RED SPRINGS — Robeson Family Practice is opening a pediatric clinic in Red Springs.

The clinic will open on Aug. 26 and an open house will be held on Aug. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. The clinic will be located at 229 S. Main St. Office hours will be Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Allergic reaction training

session pegged for Tuesday

LUMBERTON — A program on the proper response to allergic reactions and the use of epipens is planned for Tuesday.

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Health and MedicareCompareUSA have partnered to offer resources to help people compare and enroll in Medicare plans.

Appointments to meet with a Medicare insurance agent can be scheduled at a Southeastern Health location or at home. Seminars are held each month to help patients understand their Medicare benefits and insurance options. No Medicare plans are marketed.

Hospice training will begin

for volunteers in September

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Hospice will host a training course for new volunteers interested in assisting hospice patients and their families in homes or at Southeastern Hospice House in September.

Attendees are required to attend all sessions, which will be held Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Sept. 10 to 24, from 9 to 11:30 am at Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive. Volunteers must consent to a background check and TB skin test, both provided by the agency.
