exercise and breast cancer

LUMBERTON — Candace Langston, a Southeastern Health Clinical Exercise Physiologist, will present on the importance of exercising with breast cancer during Tuesday’s Breakfast and Biggs.

Langston will talk about how exercise can help breast cancer prevention and recovery. The event will take place at 8 a.m. in the retail space beside JCPenney at Biggs Park Mall in Lumberton. For information, call 910-671-9393.

Breast cancer awareness

fair planned for Friday

LUMBERTON — A Mardi Gras Mammogram Madness health fair and parade will be held in Biggs Park Mall in Lumberton in honor of breast cancer awareness month.

On Friday, the general public is invited to wear pink and meet in front of Southeastern Health Mall parking lot on the campus of Biggs Park Mall at 9:45 a.m. A photo will be taken at 10 a.m. and a parade to the main enterence of Biggs Park Mall will follow at 10:15 a.m. Booths will be set up throughout the mall with educational information about the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Event will raise money for

pediatric hospice services

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Health Foundation Advocates will host the 5th annual Boots & BBQ fundraiser on Friday from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Southeastern Agricultural Center Arena in Lumberton.
