LUMBERTON — The election of a chairman and a vice chairman tops the agenda for Monday’s meeting of the Robeson County Board of Commissioners.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the county government’s Administration Building at 701 N. Elm St. in Lumberton.

The current board chairman is Tom Taylor. Raymond Cummings is the vice chairman.

Seven public hearings are on Monday’s agenda. Two are for rezoning requests, and the rest are for conditional-use permits.

The rezoning requests come out of Wisharts. One is for the establishment of duplex apartments, and the other is to allow for a neighborhood grill.

The conditional-use permits are for:

— The establishment of a family cemetery in Union.

— The establishment of an auto repair business and dealership in Pembroke.

— An amendment to a conditional-use permit for the operation of a mobile home moving business with mechanic shop to include the storage of mobile homes in Philadelphus.

— The establishment of a semi-truck and trailer parking lot on 65.17 acres of land in Lumber Bridge.

— The establishment of a flea market in Wisharts.

The commissioners also are scheduled to consider a seven-item consent agenda that includes budget amendments related to Fleet Operations Center, Social Services and 911 funding. An economic incentive agreement with Campbell Soup also is on the consent agenda.
