LUMBERTON — A gunman robbed a local video store this morning, according to police.

Police Capt. Terry Parker said in a statement that the Game Stop store, which is at 5082 Fayetteville Road, was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money at 10:28 a.m. There were employees in the store, but none were injured.

Parker said the gunman had his face concealed and appeared to be wearing gloves.

At about 11:50 a.m., Lumberton police vehicles, marked and unmarked, were on the scene. Employees did not want to comment, but said the store would reopen later in the day.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call Detective Lee Hinson at 910-671-3845. Callers can remain anonymous.
