LUMBERTON — A Lumberton man was arrested on Friday and charged with multiple crimes, and 17 grams of cocaine and $1,822 in cash were seized.
Kenny Ray Rogers, 35, of 165 Coleman St., was charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute, felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed under a $15,000 bond for the drug charges. Rogers also was charged with resisting, delaying or obstruction; driving while license revoked and window tint. His bond for those charges was $500.
A second person, Norman Gurly, 50, 149 Skipper St., was also arrested and charged with resisting, delaying or obstruction. and second-degree trespassing. He was jailed under a $1,000 bond.
Lumberton police Officer Brian Sampson came in contact with both Rogers and Gurly about 6 p.m. Friday in the driveway of an apartment complex located at 201 S. Seneca St. It was there that Sampson arrested Rogers and Gurly, and seized the cocaine and money.
