LUMBERTON — Finance Officer Erica Setzer will present a report to the Board of Education for the Public Schools of Robeson County when it meets on Tuesday for its regular monthly meeting.
The board normally meets on the second Tuesday of the month, but delayed it this time because of the May primary.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at Lumberton City Hall, located at 5oo N. Cedar St.
The board members also are scheduled to go into a closed session to discuss certified and classified personnel and to discuss legal issues.
Tuesday’s agenda includes a long list of information items. Among them are comments from Chairperson Peggy Wikins Chavis, who lost her board seat to Linda Emanuel in the May 8 primary; updates from the Construction and Finance committees; and the summer school schedule.
Board members are to receive information on a teacher attendance incentive, a teacher sign-on bonus revision and teacher contract terms. Informational presentations are scheduled on Battle of the Books, Robeson Association of Educators State Multi-Cultural Art Winners, and the bus driver of the month.
The members of the Board of Education also are to discuss an appointment to Robeson Community College’s board of trustees.
Lumbee Tribe Chairman Harvey Godwin Jr. is on Tuesday’s schedule to give informational presentations about tribe programs.
