LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Clean and Green Committee seeks volunteers to help pick up roadside litter Wednesday in an effort to keep the county clean.
Volunteers will pick up trash along N.C. 711 and N.C. 72. The day of trash removal begins with people who want to help gathering at the old Department of Social Services parking lot on N.C. 711. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and litter pickup activities begin at 9 a.m.
Volunteers are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and light clothing. Reflective safety vests and gloves will be provided. Light refreshments will be served at the end of the event.
